What data does CalendarSphere collect?
Very little. You don’t give us your name or email to use any generator. The only data we receive comes from:
- Standard server logs: IP address, browser type, page requested and time. Our server and its content delivery network (Cloudflare) keep these briefly for security and to keep the site running.
- Advertising and analytics cookies: set by Google, described below.
- Messages you send us: only if you choose to email us.
- Your email address: only if you sign up for email updates, described below.
What happens to the events and options I enter?
The style, colours, paper size, holidays and the events you add (birthdays, exams, paydays) are processed by JavaScript on your own device. The PDF is created in your browser. Nothing you type is uploaded to CalendarSphere, and we can’t see it.
Your events are saved in your browser’s local storage so they are still there next time. You can delete them in the generator or by clearing this site’s data in your browser.
How does advertising on CalendarSphere work?
CalendarSphere is free because it shows ads through Google AdSense.
- Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your previous visits to this and other websites.
- Google’s advertising cookies let it and its partners show you ads based on your visits to CalendarSphere and other sites on the internet.
- You can opt out of personalised advertising in Google Ads Settings, or opt out of some third-party vendors at aboutads.info.
- Read how Google uses cookies in advertising.
For visitors in the EEA, the UK and Switzerland, analytics and advertising run without cookies until you accept Google’s consent message. Advertisers never see your calendar or your events.
Does CalendarSphere use analytics?
We use Google Analytics to see which pages are popular, how many PDFs are downloaded and where pages load slowly. It reports trends across all visitors, not who you are, and never receives the content of your calendar. You can install the Google Analytics opt-out add-on to stop being counted.
What happens if I sign up for email updates?
The sign-up form at the bottom of each page is optional. When you press Subscribe, your email address is sent from your browser to MailerLite, the service that stores our mailing list and sends our emails. Nothing else you’ve typed on the site goes with it. MailerLite also records when and from where you signed up, as proof of your consent.
We ask you to confirm your address by email before sending anything, and then email you when new calendars, planners and printables are ready, about once a month. Every email has an unsubscribe link, and you can ask us to delete your address at any time. We don’t sell or share the list. MailerLite’s own privacy policy explains how it handles the data it stores for us.
What happens when I contact you?
If you email us, we use your name, email and message only to reply. We don’t add you to a mailing list or share your details, and we delete messages once they’re no longer needed.
What rights do I have over my data?
Depending on where you live, laws such as the EU and UK GDPR, the California Consumer Privacy Act, Canada’s PIPEDA, Australia’s Privacy Act and India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act give you the right to:
- ask what personal data we hold about you;
- ask us to correct or delete it;
- withdraw consent to personalised ads at any time;
- complain to your local data protection authority.
CalendarSphere does not sell personal information. To make a request, email [email protected].
Is CalendarSphere meant for children?
CalendarSphere is a general-audience site and isn’t directed at children under 13. We don’t knowingly collect personal data from children. Teachers and parents can use the generators with children safely because nothing entered in them leaves the device.
Will this policy change?
We update this page when we add a feature or a law changes. The date at the top shows the latest version.
